Cause of Flavour
Bromophenol is a taint that can occur in all beverages.
Caused by raw material and finished product coming into contact with brominated surfaces – such as paint, recycled cardboard, paper wood and fire proofing materials.
Plastic packaging can also absorb brominated phenols when stored in unsuitable places and then impart these to product stored within them.
