ISBT Bevtech Asia Pacific 2022

BevTech Asia Pacific 2022 is a great networking and educational resource for the soft drink industry in the Asia Pacific region. It will be held 1pm to 5pm Bangkok time on June 16th 2022 in conjunction with Propak Asia at Bangkok’s Bitec exhibition centre. The meeting is for beverage industry professionals and run by the International Society of beverage technology (ISBT). This is the second event for the region and the BevTech Asia Pacific 2021 virtual meeting was a huge success.

ISBT’s mission in the region is to enhance the promotion, development, and dissemination of knowledge relating to the art and science of beverage technology for the non-alcoholic beverage industry in the Asia Pacific market. This event will:

I have been involved in BevTech Asia Pacific and ISBT for a little over 2 years now and although fairly new to the Society can see the great benefits it brings to industry professionals in the region. I volunteered to join the committee and in my role as Co Chair for BevTech Asia Pacific I have worked together with and met some great industry professionals. There are also some real pioneers in beverage technology in the society so it’s a great resource to get the latest information on what is happening in beverage technology. We are always looking for help so if you would like to present or help on the committee also feel free to reach out.

 

Within ISBT there are various sub committees and technical committees that assist with all aspects of the soft drink industry. These include Beverage and Ingredients, Beverage Gases, Beverage Operations and Processing, Operations, Packaging Technology and Quality. There are also committees on Retail Equipment and Fountain technology, Sanitation and Microbiological Control, Sweeteners as well as Water Quality and Treatment. Each committee is headed by an industry expert bin that field and they are always willing to help members with their questions and concerns.

 

ISBT also have a wide variety of on line lessons the help the global community of beverage professionals. These courses can be joined by members and non members and cover subjects as diverse as RO water treatment to PET resins, preforms and bottle technology to industrial gases used in the industry. Plus there are many more courses available that you can enquire about. ISBT also have a great scholarship program for industry professionals, the objective of this is to provide financial support to academically qualified students who have shown interest in pursuing a career in the beverage industry.

Beverage Industry Resource Guide

Every year ISBT publish a resource guide for the industry which is made available in hard copy and on line. This provides bottlers and industry professionals with a great resource for information on suppliers. The guide has information on suppliers from all aspects of the beverage industry.
